2022: A year of study
The last year has seen a tremendous effort from candidates studying with us for their NPPF Sergeants’ and Inspectors’ exams, National Investigators’ exams or Student Officers’ exams.
Study, study, study
We saw a grand total of 692,727 questions answered by candidates. 1,121 mock exams were taken, alongside 25,172 study sessions and 8,177 test sessions. In total, that equated to a full 658 days of study. That’s a fantastic commitment and a significant amount of knowledge gained!

We also responded to 335 queries where our candidates needed clarification on the question or explanation, providing additional information to allow the underlying legal concept to be understood. This detail is then made available for all of our candidates, recognising that someone else is probably wondering the same thing!
Use science to your advantage
Research and science have shown that taking multiple-choice questions is beneficial for retaining knowledge, even when the candidate has no prior knowledge of the question subject. In fact, getting a question wrong positively affects learning the material, especially when a comprehensive explanation is given to guide the candidate through the question and answer. Our platform does precisely this, presenting challenging questions designed to instil not only knowledge of the law but also highlight common pitfalls in the exam.
This year, we’re looking forward to supporting candidates taking their police legal exams to succeed. Our team are working on new features to make learning journeys even easier.
